#1 Green Bay Packers (Prev Rank #2): The defending champs take over the top spot after looking unstoppable on offense. The “Golden Boy” Aaron Rogers is looking like the Super Bowl MVP and should tear up the Panthers in week 2 to start 2-0.
#2 New England Patriots (Prev Rank #4): Brady looks as good as ever while dissecting the Dolphins defense. 517 yards and 4 TD’s…how are teams going to stop that? Pass D looks like the only possible weakness.
#3 Baltimore Ravens (Prev Rank #9): Absolutely manhandle our pre-season favorite Pittsburgh Steelers. If Flacco continues to play well…and their D continues to stop teams in their tracks, look out NFL.
#4 Philadelphia Eagles (Prev Rank #6): Not quite a dominating performance but the pieces are there to make a run. Should be a real test in week 2 against a determined and upset Atlanta Falcons team loaded with talent.
#5 New York Jets (Prev Rank #5) : Rex opens up the offense and throws 44 times in a comeback win vs the choking Romo’s. There is just something about this team that says “winner”, and it’s not Sanchez on the cover of GQ.
#6 San Diego Chargers (Prev Rank #3): Opening kickoff returned for TD… really San Diego?? After a shaky start the Bolts bounce back and take care of the Vikings. Mike Tolbert cannot continue to be the star player on this team if they want to take it to the next level.
#7 Pittsburgh Steelers (Prev Rank #1) : Not ready to push the panic button just yet. Week 2 will tell us a lot about what this team is made of. The Steelers play a very weak Seattle Seahawks team and should be 1-1.
#8 New Orleans Saints (Prev Rank #7): Against almost any other team the Saints would have chalked up a W. They will have another test going up against the Bears in week 2, but being at home and coming off a loss should be just what they need.
#9 Chicago Bears (Prev Rank NR): Cutler proves he’s no quitter and the under-appreciated Bears handle the Falcons easily. The question is can they take out the New Orleans Saints in the Super Dome in Week 2. If they do, they will have to gain respect and move up the QFS Power Rankings.
#10 Houston Texans (Prev Rank NR): Very strong showing against the Manningless Colts. They will likely get A. Foster back, but with a road game in Miami, they will certainly earn a 2-0 start. This team has all the talent in the world, but has yet to launch. This may be the year…
